Free Learning Summer Camp 2024

A vacation with a twist!

A summer camp made for kids and teenagers who wish to coexist freely and for parents who feel the same way! In the middle of stunning nature, among mountains and sea, both in walking distance, we will spend ten days living in a temporary community.

With the support of the simple -yet powerful- Agile Tools we will plan our days and set our short and long term goals. Together we will create and hold the space for everybody to feel safe, heard and seen.

Children are learning to recognize, express and cover their own needs. Parents learn how to deal with the freedom they wish for their kids. It is all about integrity, authenticity, acceptance – and the lack of judgement. Trust is fostered and growth is nourished.

Learning is happening all the time, anytime, everywhere!

When: 23. July – 1. August 2024

Where: Evia island, Greece

Who is it for: Families and individuals who are intrigued by free learning and free living

Contribution: Adults around 700,- Euros, Kids and Teenagers around 400,- Euros *

• We expect a financial support between 500 and 800 Euros (Kids and Teens 300-450) to cover costs and to sustain ourselves and foster the project. If anyone feels a burning desire to participate but cannot cover this amount, please contact us. No one shall be excluded!
  We are also open for other ways of exchange, like tools, food and services (e.g. we need legal and financial consulting for our project).

What is being offered: Tent pitch and three vegetarian meals per day (with a vegan option), prepared with love. Various activities and mini-workshops about Natural Building, Natural Cosmetics and herbal remedies, Community Building, Music, Crafts and much more. (Bring your ideas, skills and talents -and your passion to share them!)

The camp will be facilitated in english and german.

Good to know!

As beautiful as our land might be, there are things that could compromise your well being and mood. Here are a few hints, so you can evaluate if this is the right place for you and your family.

– Summer in Greece can be hot! Temperatures around 30 degrees are normal, during heat waves it can be 40. Only for people who feel comfortable in the warm south.

– Mosquitos, flies (and occasionaly wasps) are part of nature and can be more or less annoying.

– We are using dry compost toilets (where people “deposit” their human waste in a bucket and cover it with leaves – turned with time into humanure, used as tree fertilizer)

and outdoor showers (with water pipes leading to trees).

– In a close proximity there are dogs living and sometimes, during the night they might start barking, (wild life can be very active during night time). During the day cicadas can be very noisy, and at night the crickets take over.

– If you don’t want to bring / setup your own tent, there are two caravans and two bell tents available for renting (3-5 persons each).

– There is camping space on the land for 2 camping vans.

– Please use only natural soap (can be purchased on site from our lttle shop, along with handmade sunscreen and insect repellent).

– This is an unofficial gathering. A circle of friends (and their friends). We all are responsible for our safety and well being -and parents are responsible for their children.
