[get involved]
In order to manifest the Hara-Goe project and move forward effectively, we are outreaching for our friends and allies, people who want to participate or support the project in various ways. In particular we need:
a design team
A lot has been done, but there’s much more to come! Common spaces, kitchens, shelters -and nothing will be built conventionally! We wish to develop the plans and track the building process of the infrastructure (including the Hara-Goe studio complex) in collaboration with universities or other institutions.
a building team
Helping hands will always be needed during the construction phase. We will schedule specific workshops but, if you wish to get an overview (and some insights) in natural building techniques and bio-climatic design, you might spend some time with us as a volunteer.
an internet programming and support team
Social media may occupy people’s minds and time in an often destructive way, but there is also great potential to them. We intend to use them wisely, promoting alternative networking tools and platforms.
a legal team
We wish to be world-compatible but also find ways to bring fair, conscious economy one step closer. The use of fair-banks, time-banks, alternative currencies, donations, clubs for producing and distributing food or sharing services, all point in this direction. Regarding building permits we consider our land as a test site. We would be happy to share our experience with the responsible authorities but also backup our situation legally.
If you are interested in engaging in any of the above fields, please get in touch.
If you want to make a donation, please use this link.
[network]
The core-idea of this project is to frame a template that can be copied and modified according to each situation’s needs. There are already some thoughts about a Hara-Goe Berlin and a Hara-Goe Crete projects. For the time being, let’s focus on the very first attempt and how the network can unfold. We can form a working group using an open source platform and, since we will most probably be spread over the world, schedule a regular online gathering. Please share your suggestions and tips about which tools to use.
Here we would also like to list fellow organizations, communities, initiatives etc.
